02253000 - VW Stud Torque Adaptor

Description

02253000 - VW Stud Torque Adaptor

SCHAEFFLER APPROVED

A specialist torque adaptor for removing and refitting timing belt tensioner mounting studs on most 1.9L and 2.0L TDI VAG engines.

Designed for use on steel timing belt tensioner studs fitted into aluminium cylinder heads, this adaptor helps technicians work safely and accurately where corrosion can cause the stud to seize in place.

Key features

  • Suitable for most 1.9L and 2.0L TDI VAG applications
  • Compatible with M8 fine and M8 to M10 coarse stepped studs
  • Designed for timing belt tensioner mounting studs
  • Helps remove seized studs caused by steel-to-aluminium corrosion
  • Enables correct re-torquing to manufacturer specification
  • Helps reduce the risk of stud loosening, snapping, or timing belt tensioner failure

Correct torque is critical when replacing the stud. If it is not tightened to the manufacturer’s recommended value, the stud may work loose or fracture under cyclic stress, potentially leading to serious engine damage.
